Purse and tote bag patterns

Make bags that speak for you! Quilting is my passion and I would have never thought that I will love making bags as much as I love making quilts. With so many beautiful fabrics and so many design possibilities, I think anyone could fall in love with making bags. You could show off a wonderful and unique creation after just a few hours of work ! These are my bag patterns.

*Amelie* Purse 15.75" wide x 12" tall x 3.75" deep	Belle Tote Bag 15.5" wide x 14.5" tall x 3.75" deep

Roomy body for daily essentials.
A lot of pockets will help you to organize your stuff neatly:

two large front pockets;

one zippered exterior pocket on the back of the bag;

two interior pockets.

The two bags are different in shape, size and interior space

Materials list (based on using 44” (110 cm) wide fabrics )

Amelie bag

1/2 yard (0.5 m) main fabric;
3/4 yard (0.75 m) accent fabric;
1 yard (1 m) lining fabric;
3/4 yard (0.75 m) heavyweight fusible interfacing;
9/16" (14mm) magnetic snap;
7” (18 cm) zipper (or longer);
Jeans/denim needle (100/16);

Belle Bag

3/4 yard (0.75 m) main fabric;
1 yard (1 m) accent fabric;
1 yard (1 m) lining fabric;
1 yard (1 m) heavyweight fusible interfacing;
9/16" (14mm) magnetic snap;
7” (18 cm) zipper (or longer);
Jeans/denim needle (100/16)

Have Fun Coordinating Fabrics ! Here are a few bags I made lately
Amelie Purse
For this bag I quilted cotton velveteen.	I love to mix wide and narrow stripes.
This is made out of microfiber suede.	This is small! It measures only 9"x7"x2.5".

Belle Tote Bag You can use the same fabric for the entire bag or use an accent fabric for a different look.
For this bag I used again microfiber suede.	This is made out of denim and brocade.
	This bag is very roomy. I wanted to make a jacket out of this fabric but it ended up as bag.

I made even miniatures !

Then I modified the patterns and I made a few extra large bags.
These are great for the beach, travel, shopping, overnight bag, diaper bag...
